Annual giving reaches nearly $4.8 million
Gifts of all sizes added up to make a big difference for the College in 2013-14.
Some 6,600 alumni, parents and friends made Annual Fund gifts totaling nearly $4.8 million. Every dollar directly benefits today’s students, supporting virtually every aspect of a Connecticut College education – including scholarships, internships and student-faculty research.
Volunteers were important partners in this success. Their outreach to fellow alumni and parents strengthened our community and kept those who are far from campus in touch with the College.
The work and spirit of those volunteers helped the Class of 1954 win the C.B. Rice ’31 Award, honoring the class with the highest participation for the year – 80 percent.
The Ann Crocker Wheeler Award for the greatest one-year percentage increase in donors was won by the Class of 1969. The class jumped 15 percentage points, from 51 to 66 percent.
The College congratulates those classes and the many individuals who helped to make their achievements possible.
